Digital Copy available on amazon
The Sacred Mask 3 follows the relationship between the lighthearted Joshua and the melancholic Cimarron. Cimarron has a lot of baggage. He spent months as a prisoner of war and plaything to the Tyrannical Elf King Wodanaz. When he was returned home, his physical and mental health greatly degenerated. Twenty years after this trauma, Cimarron is finally taking tentative steps to regain his independence. One day, he begins to develop feelings for his young roommate, the pianist Joshua. Cimarron doesn’t want to suffer, and he doesn’t want Joshua to suffer because of him. Cimarron feels that he is better off alone. Due to this baggage, Cimarron keeps shying away from the prospect of falling in love again. Joshua doesn’t know if Cimarron likes him or not. Joshua is used to lovers who are vocal about their feelings. He needs Cimarron to tell him that he likes him. Otherwise, he will continue to be blissfully unaware of Cimarron’s unrequited love for him. With both men not inclined to make the first move, outside intervention is needed for their love to blossom. Watching the two from the shadows is Cimarron’s only daughter Astorgas. She thinks that Joshua is nothing, but bad news. She worries that the immature Joshua will make her father suffer. She is the one who must decide whether to trust Joshua with her father’s fragile heart.
